"My work is centered on supporting you connect to your innate wisdom, heart, and sexual power."

Hi!

My following bio is long, but I hope it helps you gather a better sense of where I come from and what I do.

In a nutshell I am passionate about helping others connect with their own wisdom, heart and power, and I do so through various offerings: sex therapy, birthwork, and psychedelic integration. If you want to hear more, read on!

My name is Satchita Melina and I am a certified sexologist, doula, psychedelic medicine integration coach, and visual artist. My work is guided by the many healing traditions which recognize the womb to be the source of a woman's creativity, power, and wisdom. I feel deeply called to support women on their personal journeys of healing and empowerment.  I believe that aligning ourselves with our deepest womb-wisdom leads to greater health, creative expression and joy.  My hope is that my work facilitates this both for women who are on a path of motherhood and/or on a path of birthing a new way of being.

My profession as a doula and somatic sex therapist stems from my own journey of womb-wisdom and healing.  There was a point I felt completely dissociated and alone because of trauma I experienced growing up and later in life. Something though, deep down inside of me, did not give up on hope, and with support I was able to move through the darkness.

I have been through my own extensive healing process to be where I am now and my experiences have ultimately gifted me with being intuitive, compassionate, non-judgemental, and comfortable in moments of intensity. Because of my own history I feel inspired to assist women on their own transformative journeys because I know how important and helpful it is to have loving support along the way.

My commitment to connect and listen to my body led me to study dance and Yoga for two decades. I have found immense healing through these contemplative arts and continue to learn every day. These wisdom traditions have shaped my approach to embodiment in which I bring attention to both the physical/anatomical and the psycho-spiritual.

My dance background is in Odissi, an Indian Classical Temple dance, modern/Graham technique, West-African, Afro-Brasilian and tribal-fusion bellydance. In 2008 my love for Yoga led me to train extensively in Tantric Buddhist and Yogic traditions in South-East Asia, where I lived for over four years.  I have a decade of experience as a bodyworker, specializing in Thai-Yoga Massage and as a Yoga instructor, focusing on classic Hatha, Kundalini and Vinyasa. I am also a certified Reiki practitioner, and appreciate this more subtle and energetic healing modality.

In 2012 I completed my professional somatic sexology certification through the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and have been practicing since. In 2015 I began my birthwork studies, and completed several intensive home-birth midwifery courses at Elizabeth Davis's Heart and Hands Midwifery school in Sebastopol. I have take three years of nursing pre-requisite classes, am a prenatal Yoga instructor - trained under Jane Austin, and am a certified birth doula through Natural Resources, in San Francisco.

My path has been greatly inspired by the my love for wildlife, plant-medicine, ethnobotany and eco-psychology. I have explored and studied these fields since a young age, one of the most pivotal journeys being when I was eighteen and lived in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest to help conduct plant research and conservation at an indigenous grassroots organization. Today, I encourage the importance of "personal rewilding" as a healing approach for our own inner ecosystem.

I hold a BA's in Liberal Arts with a concentration on Behavioral Economics from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Prior to CIIS I began my formal studies in Environmental Science at Alaska Pacific University and later transferred to Naropa University for Tibetan Buddhist Studies. I am currently in graduate school at CIIS pursuing a MA in Integral Counseling Psychology to become a licensed psychotherapist.

Through my holistic somatic sex therapy and doula practice Lupa Wellness, I offer my services to women and couples in the Bay Area.  If you feel called to work together please reach out, I would love to learn how I can support you on your path.

Above all I am infinitely grateful to all the Teachers, Lineages and Ancestors who helped pave and light the way.

Thank You, this work is possible because of your wisdom, heart, hard work, and service.
